Law Enforcement Guidelines

Introduction

This page explains how KudosCRM handles requests for customer data from law enforcement and government authorities.

How to submit a request

Authorities should send requests to legal@kudoscrm.com using valid legal process appropriate to the jurisdiction (such as a subpoena, court order, or warrant). We review each request for validity and scope.

Customer data

Most data in KudosCRM belongs to our business customers, who control it. Where we hold data only as a processor on a customer's behalf, we will generally direct the request to that customer and will only disclose data where legally compelled.

Notice to customers

We aim to notify the affected customer before disclosing their data, so they can seek to limit or challenge the request — unless we're legally prohibited from doing so or there's an emergency involving risk to life.

Our principles

  • We require valid legal process and disclose only what we're legally required to.
  • We challenge requests that are overbroad, vague, or unlawful.
  • We may preserve data when legally required.
